LECE states that it is bound by the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 and only collects personal information necessary for conducting its business.
Personal information is used for the purpose for which it was given and is not shared, sold or provided to third parties unless required or authorised under exemptions in the Privacy Act.
LECE takes reasonable steps to keep personal information protected from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, and endeavours to keep it accurate, complete and current.
You may request access to personal information held by LECE, subject to exceptions allowed by law. Depending on the complexity of a request, the captured policy notes that a small charge may apply.
The policy states that sensitive information is not collected and that personal information sent by email is supplied at the sender’s own risk because email communication is not secure.
